There is some wear to the wreath on the obverse

but it looks like the very top of the spike was replaced and soldered on

which has a brownish color

Original U.S. WWII Marine Corps Medal & Insignia Lot - Medal Bar & Patches Crimean War The inside of the capThis is a nice lot of WWII Era Marine Corps Medals & insignia. They include a four place medal bar with the Good Conduct Medal. The Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal was established on 20 July 1896. The medal was originally a ribbon and medal suspended from a clasp bearing the words "U. S. Marine Corps". The clasp was eliminated after 1935 and the medal has remained unchanged in appearance since that time. From its inception in 1896, the name of the
