Constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching an HJ insignia, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of BLUT UND EHRE (BLOOD AND HONOUR), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code M5 276 for Klein & Quenzer, Idar Oberstein, with the roller retaining an additional unusual RZM label,
